The Government of India has provided the MyGov Corona Helpdesk Chatbot to streamline the process of obtaining vaccine certificates easily via WhatsApp. 

Step 1: Send ‘Hi’ to Corona Helpdesk Bot, i.e.+91 9013151515 on WhatsApp.

Step 2: Select ‘Download Certificate’ from the list of options. Type and send ‘2’ to select the option.

Step 3: Then, send ‘2’ to ‘Download Covid Vaccination Certificate’.

Step 4: An ‘OTP’ will be sent on your phone number which you need to type in the chatbox.

Step 5: Name of  all people registered with that number will be displayed on your screen. Select the name and you will receive your vaccination certificate in PDF format.

The official website of Covid-19 vaccination in India is www.cowin.gov.in Here are the easy steps to download your covid-19 vaccination certificate from CoWIN:

Step 1: Open www.cowin.gov.in/home from your browser on mobile device or desktop.

Step 2: Click on ‘Sign in’ option and enter your registered mobile number

Step 3: You will receive an ‘OTP’ on your registered mobile number, enter the OTP to login

Step 4: Select the ‘Download Certificate’ link and then on ‘Download’ button

Step 5: PDF file will be downloaded as Certificate name in your device

It is mandatory for everyone to link their vaccine certificate before travelling abroad for education or job. Linking your certificate with your passport is easy to do via CoWIN.

Step 1: Visit the official website of CoWIN.

Vaccination Rules for Students Travelling Abroad for Studies

The Government of India has issued various norms for students planning to study abroad. It is essential to be aware of the following rules and regulations set by the authorities to ensure your smooth travel plans:

  1. Students who have secured admission in international universities can take second jab after 28 days of first dose.
  2. It is mandatory to link vaccination certificates with passport.
  3. In case students have not used a passport as an ID card for booking vaccination slots, they can fill a separate form to link their certificate with the passport.
