Begum Hazrat Scholarship 2021

The scholarship was formerly known as Maulana Azad Scholarship and is specifically for girl students from minority communities that include Muslim, Christian, Sikh, Buddhist, Jain and Parsi communities.

Award: Up to 12,000 released in two installments

Aicte Pragati Scholarship For Girls

Another prominent one in our list of scholarships for girls, this financial aid scheme is offered to those who have taken their 1st year of admission in AICTE approved schools.. The basic prerequisite is that the family income of the applicant must be below 8 lakh to apply for Pragati Scholarship. 

Award: INR 30,000 or tuition fee and INR 2,000 per month for 10 months

Dr. Reddy’s Foundation Sashakt Scholarship

The scholarship is offered to students who have passed class 12th and are planning to pursue higher education in the field of science. Students who come from rural areas and economically backward strata of society. Students must be interested in scientific researches.

Award: INR 2,00,000 for 3 years that includes tuition fees, study expenses, and basic living cost

DRDO Scholarship

DRDO Scholarship is for girls who are planning to study in aerospace engineering/ aeronautical engineering/ avionics engineering, etc. The scholarship will be available for both bachelors and masters students.

Award: INR 120,000 per year for Bachelors’ students and INR 150,000 per year for Masters’ students

Indira Gandhi Scholarship

Indira Gandhi Scholarship offers a monthly scholarship to single girl children who are planning to pursue post-graduate in non professional courses. In this scholarship, twin daughters or fraternal daughter can also apply.

NSIGSE Scholarship

National Scheme Incentives to Girls for Secondary Education is a scholarship sponsored by the Central Government. It is for students who have passed class X and is implemented to promote higher education of girl students. The Scholarship provides 100% funds to students.

Pratibha Kiran is a scholarship for students in SC/ST/ OBC category who have passed class 12th and belong to Madhya Pradesh. The scheme is for students in urban areas and is offered by the Department of Higher Education.

Rolls Royce Scholarship For Engineering Girl Students

Rolls Royce Scholarship is an initiative by Rolls Royce India pvt. Ltd. to support meritorious girls in completing their engineering courses. The scholarship is for students who are in 1st/2nd or 3rd year of the course. The scholarship is to make sure that girls interested in STEM courses receive financial support that they need.

The CBSE Udaan scholarship is offered to girl students of class 11th and 12th and provides them with virtual class resources which are organised across 60 centres with useful study materials, tutorials and mentoring opportunities.

Offered by the Glow and Lovely Foundation, this scholarship is offered to girl students aiming to pursue their undergraduate and postgraduate studies. The Glow and Lovely Scholarship is awarded to a selected number of girl students. It is one of the popular scholarships for girls and its basic age criteria is that the candidate must be between the age of 15-30 years & have secured 60% of marks in their 10th and 12th class.

Prabha Dutt Scholarship

This scholarship offers a grant of 1 Lakh rupees to women journalists in order to help them pursue projects on societal welfare and development. It is one of the prominent scholarships for girls wanting to work in the field of Journalist. In order to apply for Prabha Dutt Fellowship, the applicant must send their resume along with the writeup in 250-300 words.
