The Jindal scholarship amount ranges between Rs 500-Rs 2,500 (per month) based on the level of education and the chosen course.

Jindal Scholarship Dates

Unlike the other national and international scholarships, the Sitaram Jindal Scholarship does not have a limited span of time for registration. Candidates can register themselves and can fill up the application form as per their convenience throughout the year. There is no deadline for this scholarship.

Categories in Jindal Scholarship

From a Diploma in Nursing and Bachelor of Pharmacy to MCom and Naturopathy courses, the scholarships offered by Jindal Foundation cover a vast range of programs. Based on the courses/level of education, the Sitaram Jindal Scholarship is divided into 5 categories starting from Category A to Category E.

Eligibility Criteria 

To understand who is eligible to get Sitaram Jindal Scholarship, we have provided a category wise eligibility criteria below: 

Category A 

• You must be in the 11th/12th class. For male students, at least 65% of marks. Uneqvicolly, girls are required to have 60% of marks. 
• Boy and girl students hailing from Karnataka and West Bengal must have 75% and 70% marks respectively. 

Category B

• ITI classes from any government or private institution should be completed. 
• Boys are required to have 50% of marks while girl candidates are required to score at least 40% marks.

Category C

• For UG courses, girl candidates must have secured 55% and boys should have 60% in their 10+2.
• You must hold a bachelor’s degree for PG programs. 
• Girl candidates are required to score 60% marks while boys must have secured 65% marks for obtaining Jindal Scholarship for PG courses.  
• For employed, the annual family income should not exceed 4 lakh and for other applicants, it should not exceed 2.5 lakh, with below 30 years of age. 

Category D

• Diploma in all streams including Physiotherapy and Environment are considered under this category. 
• Female candidates must have secured 55% marks while male candidates need to have 60% marks to apply for Jindal Scholarship. 
• For employed, the annual family income should not exceed 4 lakh and for other applicants, it should not exceed 2.5 lakh, with below 30 years of age.

Category E

• Engineering branches, Medicine, and Architecture are the courses for which Jindal Scholarship is offered under this category. 
• MBBS, MPharma, Naturopathy, Dental Science, etc are some of the courses included. However, MDS is not covered. 
• Women candidates are required to score 65% of marks while male applicants require 70% marks.

Note: The pass percentage for candidates hailing from Karnataka and West Bengal varies for UG and PG courses. It is advised to check the official website before proceeding with the application.  

How to Apply for Jindal Scholarship 2022-23?

When it comes to registering for the Jindal Scholarship, you can either opt to fill the form online or offline. Here are some simple steps following you can register for the Sitaram Jindal Scholarship-

Online Mode

• Visit the official website and click on ‘Scholarships’
• Next, click on ‘Apply Online’
• For the ones new to the website and portal, they will have to create their account on the website
• Now, click on ‘Sign Up’ and fill in all the important details in the application form
• Cross-check the details and submit the application form

Offline Mode

• Visit the official website and click on ‘Scholarships’
• Download the application form and take a print out of it
• Fill in the required details as per the stated format
• Attach all the required documents along with it
• Cross-check all the details and send them to the provided address
